Outreach Committee

The members of the Outreach Committee are: Arlene Rudmann, Chair Person; Judy Bell, Treasurer; Diane Rein, Recording Secretary; Diane and Paul Durlacher; Laura Robertson; Louise Boswell; Linda Soff; Birte Mainardi; Lillian Burrows; and recently attending were Nancy Dunn and Erika Gerull.

 We will be hosting an Overflow Shelter for the Homeless in our church basement for four Saturday nights in March 2009. The guests will be served a dinner on Saturday evening and breakfast the following morning. Before they leave, they also will be provided a bag lunch. The Bergen County Community Action Program (CAP) will provide cots. The Inter- Religious Fellowship (IRF) of Bergen County will provide transportation.

 In January a group of volunteers, under the direction of Diane Rein and Judy Bell, prepared and served a hot dinner to the men at the Good Shepherd Mission in Paterson. Meals are also scheduled for February, April and May. Volunteers are welcomed for this worthwhile effort.

In August we will once again cook for and serve over 100 guests at the Orchard Street Walk-In Shelter on Hackensack.

Projects for our Shut-Ins are currently under discussion.
